What do you mean, 'breathe easy'?!
I LOVE pouring candles, and even more than that, I LOVE pouring candles that I know are safe for you, your family, friends and pets to smell, too. Many people don't realize how many dangerous chemicals are in candles that could cause lasting effects on our bodies. Chemicals that cause neurological, reproductive and organ damage. The mutagens and toxins in those chemicals are causing all sorts of allergic reactions, breathing difficulties, and changes to hormone levels in people everywhere.
My own inability to burn most commercial candles due to breathing issues is what lead me to making my own candles, and bringing me to the realization that we need safer alternatives. Not just for candles, but also for car air fresheners and perfumes.
Esse Lux Candles ingredients are carefully sourced and are made from:
- 100% Soy Wax
- Safe Non-Toxic Scents
- 100% Cotton Wicks
- Reusable jars and lids (to remove scent soak the jar in vinegar water overnight!)
- Supplies purchased from USA manufacturers as much as possible
- Supplies purchased from LOCAL small business as much as possible
Esse Lux Candles do NOT contain:
- Phthalates (linked to endocrine disruption, breast cancer, fertility issues and more)
- Carcinogens (known, or even suspected, to cause cancer)
- Mutagens (changes the DNA of a cell)
- Reproductive toxins (adversely affect reproductive organs and increase the risk of birth defects)
- Organ toxins (can cause adverse effects/disease in specific body organs)
I had no idea before this project that the candles we were burning could alter DNA, let alone cause hormone or reproductive issues. It's my goal to educate my customers as much as possible so they have the CHOICE to put what they prefer in their body.
Each candle I make is made in a small batch, hand poured in my garage. I carefully print every label and place it as even as I can. I pray over the candles, and sing worship to my Heavenly Father in hopes that you can feel His peace and presence when you burn this candle.
